FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What retail teams usually ask

Can Odoo manage multiple retail branches?

Yes. Odoo Point of Sale consolidates operational data across shops, while Inventory supports multiple warehouses and internal locations. Branch structures, permissions, accounting setup and inter-branch processes must be designed for the company.

Does Odoo POS continue working if the connection drops?

Odoo documents that Point of Sale can continue working when temporarily offline. Hardware, payment-terminal integrations and operating procedures should still be tested under the retailer’s actual network conditions.

Can promotions and loyalty work in stores and online?

Yes. Odoo supports discount and loyalty programs across Point of Sale, Sales and eCommerce, including coupons, loyalty cards, promotions, discount codes, Buy X Get Y and gift-card-related programs depending on configuration.

Do all retail branches need to go live together?

No. A pilot store can establish products, inventory, purchasing, POS and accounting workflows before rolling the validated configuration out to additional branches and channels.
